Portage Hill Gallery was first opened in 1982 as a venue to showcase the artwork of Audrey Kay Dowling and many of the fine artists from the Chautauqua region. Located on the ground level, the shopping district of the St. Elmo, located on Bestor Plaza, is a perfect place to experience retail therapy. Artists at the Market
During the summer Chautauqua season, Artists at the Market is a craft fair by local and visiting artisans with shows every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 1-4 and many Sundays from 12-4 at the Farmer's Market to the south of the Main Gate. Various vendors participate on different days and offer a wonderful selection of items for sale. There is an assortment of artwork, handmade jewelry, pottery, repurposed china items, fabric arts, hand made soaps, and more! 25% of the money raised goes towards scholarships for students who attend the visual arts and music programs during the summer. Flea Boutique
The Women's Club operates a boutique at the colonade to support Chautauqua art scholarships. Bring us your gently used designer furnishings and clothing for resale. Hours of operation are W, F, Sun - 12-2 (Summer Season Only)
